Death at dinner
Thursday, January 20 2011
A BRITISH lawyer who was hired by the Office of the Attorney General to carry out forensic audits at various State enterprises now under probe for alleged financial impropriety, died on Tuesday night while having dinner with three friends at the More Vino Restaurant and Bar, Ariapita Avenue.
Police reported that Mr X was in the company of three colleagues at the restaurant along Ariapita Avenue, Port-of-Spain, when at about 8.45 pm, he slumped over the table and died.
He was reportedly carrying out audits at the State owned Urban Development Corporation (Udecott), the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and other State companies including Petrotrin.
The attorney was expected to submit a preliminary report on his audits to Attorney General Anand Ramlogan on January 25, shortly before he was scheduled to leave Trinidad for home.

Mr. Big's Identity Revealed- Press Release
The mystery is finally over, thanks to concerned citizen Ty N Batson. Batson reveals Mr Big's identity in his candid new crime novel aptly titled MR BIG which will be launched at Nigel R Khan Bookseller, West Mall branch on 10 February 2011.
Mr Big first came to the attention of the public when, five years ago, then Prime Minister Patrick Manning put Trinidad and Tobago on a Mr Big alert. Manning announced in parliament that he knew the identity of Mr Big, the mastermind behind the crime wave engulfing Trinidad and Tobago. The bold Parliamentary statement sent the entire population into a frenzy, causing journalists and wannabe-journalists to overwork their leads to uncover more about this Mr Big.
After the Dustbin Bomber struck in downtown Port of Spain in May 2009, the newspapers noted "Mister Big still missing". In January 2010, an anonymous caller on a radio talk-show hinted he had sufficient information to suggest that Mr Big was the head of an organised gang out of Laventille.
Although the leads fizzled, the panic sizzled. Enquiring minds demanded the quick and dirty story on this mysterious Mr Big. Blogs jammed, text messages slammed and emails spammed as everyone searched for information.
In his letter to the editor, one enterprising citizen suggested that perhaps the PNM machinery could be used to get information on Mr Big. Another letter to the editor recommended that the SIA disclose its files on Mr Big.
But despite the hocus-pocus and the lack of focus, Mr Big remained an elusive ghost .
But now the bubble has burst. In his tell-all fictional novel, Ty N Batson explains who Mr Big is, what he did and why. MR BIG is available at Nigel R Khan Bookseller, The Reader's Bookshop, St James and Paper Based Bookshop at the Normandie. It is also available in kindle format and paperback from Amazon.com

Fast Moving Plot
I am immersed in Mr. Big and enjoying it -- the plot is fast moving and keeps the reader's interest. I believe you are the very first Trini who has written in this genre!

Enjoyed The Book Thoroughly
Dear Ty:
I gave a copy of Mr. Big to my father as a gift for Christmas. He is not a known novel reader and he could not put it down! He said that he enjoyed it thoroughly! I would take that as a compliment if I were you!

Sequel to Mr. Big
Yes, yes, and yes. To all Mr. Big fans a sequel to Mr. Big is in the making but I can't say when or where. All I can say is that Mr. Big meets his match and he is forced to shoot first and ask questions later.
